YouLike Terms of Use agreement was written in English (US). In any case that the translated version of this agreement conflicts with the English version, the English version controls.
We are delighted you have joined YOULIKE.com (‘YouLike’, ‘we’, ‘our’ or ‘us’, ‘site’). This agreement is regulating our relationship with our members and others who interact with YouLike. Please make sure you read this agreement carefully, because it will be applicable every time you use YouLike. Remember, that by accessing YouLike or our other applications and services (collectively ‘Site’) you are agreeing to all the Terms of Use and Privacy policies. If you object to any of the statements we share, you are prohibited from using our Site. Please also remember that our Terms of Privacy policies are subject to change and are effective immediately; by accessing the Site, you will accept the Terms as modified.
Please also note that disagreements or claims arising from or in connection with these Terms of Use will be/ are governed by and understood in accordance with Turkish Law.
You must understand that from time to time we may work with law offices and/or independent attorneys in order to claim our rights and prevent any losses. These legal representatives will be defending the claims and rights of YouLike, all employees, managers and Third Party partners. You must agree that you will comply with the Terms of Use Agreement at all times; we will take action if you violate any of the applicable laws, regulations and rules.
As YouLike, we care about your personal information; and we want you to understand how you can control the information and content you are
sharing.
You should use the greatest caution when sharing personal information. We promote sharing of personal information among members, however, please be aware that some of your data or profile information will be public or can be indexed by Internet Search Engines and could be used for other purposes. Unfortunately, we cannot assure the safety of this information. We also cannot guarantee your safety when sharing personal information and having direct contact with other site members that you come into contact with through the Site.
When you post content or information (including, but not limited to the items you are rating, your photos and videos), you agree that you have its intellectual property rights and it will be considered as your IP content. When creating an account, you will be deemed to have accepted that YouLike has non-exclusive, international, transferable, sub-licensable, royalty-free and commercial license on any IP content you share on YouLike and/or in connection with YouLike.
When you are creating an account with YouLike, you will have a profile, which can be accessed by YouLike members. Again, you should be aware that you are the one who controls the content and information you are sharing. Please acknowledge that any damages resulting from communicating or meeting with other people you interact with through the Site is not our liability. By using the Site, all members agree and understand that we do not make any guarantees for your personal safety and compatibility with other members. Please use caution at all times if you choose to interact with other people and share personal information. We urge you not to share any financial information under any circumstances (credit card info, bank and other payment info).If you decide to meet someone in person you have got to know through the Site we advise you to meet in a public place and tell friends or family about your plans and your whereabouts. If you believe that any individual is harassing you or using personal information about you for unlawful purposes, we urge you to first report this to the police, and then contact us via our ‘Contact us’ form, in order for us to take suitable action.
You must agree that your actions such as to “like”, “love”, “dislike”, “hate”, “strongly agree”, “agree”, “strongly disagree” and “disagree” an item are considered as information you are sharing with other people. We would kindly like to remind you that you might be sharing private and sensitive data when rating these items, and you are responsible for what you share publicly.
You can post content and information on YouLike only if you created and own the rights and/or you have the owner’s permission to post them and they do not violate other people’s copyrights, rights, trademarks and/or privacy rights. YouLike has the right to remove personal information and content without any reason and explanation.
Registration and Security
Below you may find obligations about registration and account security.
Accurate and unique information: You agree that you will create and use only one unique profile. You will also provide accurate, truthful and complete information about yourself. Please also make sure you use your own photos that conform to our photo policies.
Only yourself: You agree not to create a profile for anyone else without permission. You must not create a fake profile or provide fake details, photos and any other information that impersonates another person. We must warn you again about use of personal information on your profile, such as your home address, phone numbers or any other contact information. You are not allowed to share any of your contact details such as your e-mail address, phone number, links to your social networking profile, on your profile. If you choose to share personal information with other members via your profile or messaging, you do it at your own risk. Again, we do not take any responsibility for the misuse of such information by others.
No Criminal History. Unfortunately, we do not conduct criminal background checks on our members. However, if needed we will conduct such checks using public records to verify your agreement with our terms. Please remember, by registering as a member accessing or using the Site, you confirm that you are not a convicted criminal or required to register as a sex offender with any government entity.
>18: You must be over the age of 18 in order to use our Site. Just to remind you, by using our Site you are automatically affirming that you are over the age of 18 and eligible to use it. Please do not attempt to break any laws during the use of our Site. If you break any laws or regulations that are applicable to you, we will revoke all your rights to use our Site and these terms will be void.
Password: You will not share your password with anyone or allow anyone to access your account. You will avoid every action that will threaten the security of your account. Your username and password and access to, or use of your account by other people is your sole responsibility. You acknowledge and agree that we will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to comply with this provision. Please notify us if any sort of breach of illegal use of your account arises. Please also be careful with using auto-sign in features or using our Site from a public or shared device.
No commercial gain: We did not create the Site for members to engage in advertising activities. Please do not try to solicit other businesses, websites or links on our site. We also forbid you to invite people to attend events or other functions for financial gain. We really hate receiving junk mail or chain letters. Please do not send any to our members.
Updated information:Your information on YouLike should be up-to-date and you will provide changes whenever necessary.
Username & Name: When creating an account on YouLike, you will have the option to choose a username, so that YouLike users or others can access your personal page. We reserve the right to remove or reclaim your username in some cases, such as copyright infringement. Please visit “Username & Name Rules” in order to learn more about YouLike username and name standards.
Termination:You may delete your membership at any time through the account settings. Please remember that if you delete your account, membership or subscription, your active subscription will be valid and continue to remain active until the end of your subscription period. If we delete your membership due to violation of our Terms of Use, you will not be entitled to any refund of unused subscription periods or related fees or credits.
By accessing our Site, you agree to the following and acknowledge that failure to do so may result in termination of your membership.
You will treat all other members with respect in all communications. You will not publish, message or display or use any defamatory, abusive, obscene, profane, threatening, harassing, sexist, racially offensive, discriminatory or otherwise offensive or illegal material. We will assist you and other members through our community managers. We also expect you to treat community managers with respect and dignity. In addition, please do not harass or disturb any member or people accessing the site. It would be very helpful to us if you notify us if you come across violations of our Code of Conduct.
Please do not interfere with the structure or presentation of anything on our Site and related content. You are forbidden to practice any sort of retrieval, indexing, data mining, reproduction or circumnavigation. This is applicable to all except Internet Search Engines.
You must also not make any statements or claims on behalf of us without our specific prior written consent. You will also not use in any way, shape or form any copyrighted material, trademarks, or other proprietary information without obtaining our prior consent.
You must not try to attempt to disrupt or hack the Site or any networks connected to the Site. Please find something better to do with your time and refrain from transmitting any material that contains viruses or any other harmful codes, files or programs designed to diminish the functionality of any computer software or hardware equipment. We respectfully remind you that creating bots, spiders and fake requests (dos attacks) that will harm our Site will not be tolerated.
You will not tamper with our identifiers to disguise the origin of any information transmitted through the Site. You are also forbidden to frame or mirror any part of the Site without our prior written authorization. Keep in mind that you will also not use any tags, links, banner or code or other manipulative tools containing any reference to the Site in order to direct any person to any other website for any purpose.
You must understand that the Site uses certain algorithms to improve your site experience. As much as we trust our technical abilities, we are simply an information and entertainment platform that does not contain any scientific assertion. We will process your information and will try to connect you with people/places/activities that you may like. We neither will be responsible for the matches we are offering, nor the quality of information other members are sharing.
You may not post content intended to provide professional advice, including the provision of medical treatment, legal advice, or investment advice. You may not post content to solicit, recommend, endorse, or offer to buy or sell any securities or other financial instruments, tout stocks, or recommend that any particular security, portfolio of securities, transaction or investment strategy is suitable for you or any specific person.
On YouLike, you must comply with all export and import control laws and regulations of the United States and other countries. You must not transfer, by electronic transmission or otherwise, any Content or Software subject to restrictions under such laws to a national destination prohibited under such laws or to any person or entity prohibited under such laws, without first obtaining, and then complying with, any requisite government authorization.
We have worked really hard to create this site and we appreciate that other people do the same when creating their own Sites. You must not amend,
adapt, sublicense, translate, sell, reverse engineer, decipher, decompile or otherwise disassemble any portion of the Site, or assist other parties in
doing so.
We may offer functionalities that are based on the use of your location and we may share your location with other users. Remember to use Location-based Services at your own discretion. By using such services you automatically consent to collection and sharing of your location data through our Site. We will not be liable, under any circumstances, for claims for damages that arise from your consent to share and distribute your location information together with your profile information through our site.
The YouLike Mobile App will be free, but please be advised that you may be charged from your GSM operator for data usage.
Our Rights
YouLike is mainly for the use of our members. But we may also partner with other entities to use our service for commercial gain. We may share your non-identifiable information with our authorized 3rd parties in order to generate industry analysis and demographic profiling. Please remember that any commercial use of the Site without our written consent or a legal agreement is illegal. Unauthorized use of our Site for your own commercial gain is strictly prohibited. Please go to Privacy Policy, if you want to learn about our rights.
You understand that we have the right to deny any service to you. At our sole discretion, at any time, for any reason or no reason whatsoever, we can deny or block any member from using the Site and terminate any user’s account if he/she is a Member. We may delete your account, membership or subscription for any reason or no reason at our sole discretion. We are not required to disclose a reason for deletion or give notice prior to such termination of your membership.
You agree to fulfill the requests of the company such as changes and/or corrections on your profile, as soon as possible. Also, these corrections and/or changes can be made by the company, if needed. Members are legally and criminally liable for potential damages, which may occur due to member’s failure of completing these changes and/or corrections, timely.
You have to understand that YouLike is not responsible for the accuracy of the content at portals, files and folders; and the quality of service and products provided by websites, which have been accessed through YouLike, , including but not limited to links and banners.
You agree and understand that we have the right to use membership information provided by members during the registration process, member’s profile and photos added by members for YouLike advertisements and marketing activities.
You agree and understand that YouLike has the right to use member profiles and the information and/or content of its members in order to generate statistical evaluations fulfill the company’s safety related and legal obligations without sharing any individually identifiable information; and classify and preserve above mention information in a database.
You understand that we have the right to request complete, accurate and current information confirming eligibility for subscription and/or membership and you agree to provide that information in response to such a request.
You also understand that we may have to disclose the information you provided to us to a third party. This may or may not be required by law. We may have to defend our or a third party’s rights or property. This disclosure may also take place to simply protect any other people that may be under threat. We may also disclose such information if it involves any sort of abuse of a third party. Information may be disclosed to authorities that we, at our sole discretion, consider appropriate to handle such disclosure.
You understand and agree that we may, but are not required to, change any content you share or post on our Site, including but not limited to editing or deletion of emails, messages, photos or any other information you may have shared on the Site. We may also delete or suspend any profile with our sole discretion if we find such content to be offensive, in violation of our code of conduct, illegal, unsafe or in violation of the rights of other parties.
We can change our site at any given time and some features may no longer be available for your use. You agree that we will not be liable to you or any third party for any such modification, change, suspension or discontinuation.
Your account and username may be terminated if you do not sign into YouLike at least once every 90 days. In the case that your account is terminated, we will not restore and provide the content and information you have shared, saved, received, forwarded, mailed and/or sent to you.
You can register with our site and create a profile for free. However, in order to use certain functions you may have to purchase subscriptions or pay for certain features. The Subscription Policies that are disclosed to you in subscribing to the Site are considered to be part of our Terms of Use.
YouLike may use third-party payment processors to bill you through an online account. Please remember that such payments will be subject to the terms, conditions and privacy policies of the Payment Processor in addition to these Terms.
The mistakes/errors caused by the Payment Processor are not our responsibility. You agree to pay us, through the Payment Processor, by subscribing to paid or premium features. All charges are at the prices then in effect for any use of the Site in accordance with the subscription plan. You authorize us, through the Payment Processor, to charge your chosen payment provider and agree to make a payment using your selected Payment Method. We reserve the right to correct any errors or mistakes that occur during the Payment Process.
If we do not receive any payment from you through the payment processor you agree to pay all amounts overdue on your account if demanded by us.
You may choose to pay for some of our services/features one-time or on a recurring basis. Your subscription to the Site may be automatically renewed for successive periods of the same duration as your originally selected subscription term. For such recurring payments the subscription rates will be at a non-promotional rate.
You will always have the opportunity to change the auto-renewal option under your Account Settings. Please be advised that, once you turn off this option, your subscription will terminate at the end of your billing period, but you will be allowed to use your subscription until then. You must agree that you cannot refund your unused period when choosing this option.
If you start using our premium features due to a free trial or other promotion, you must cancel your subscription before the end of the trial period in order to avoid being charged a subscription fee. If you cancel prior to the end of the trial period and are unintentionally charged, please contact us at help@youlike.com .
Again, you may opt out of auto-renewal, through your Account Settings.
The materials and information contained on this site are provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, either express or implied, including without limitation any warranty for the accuracy or reliability of information, services, or products provided through or in connection with YouLike.
In good faith, we will try to keep the information and materials, including, but not limited to the search results, items appearing on the Site are as up to date as possible but we in no way guarantee that the information on the Site is accurate at all times and we reserve the right to amend the information at any time without prior notice to you.
You agree that YouLike is not responsible for the accuracy of any content posted on the Site by Members.
You agree that you use the Site entirely at your own risk and we accept no responsibility whatsoever, and hereby exclude to the full extent permissible by the applicable law, any liability for any loss or damage (any error, communications line failure, disorder, interruption, deletion in operation or transmission, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, user or Member communications; or any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of email or players on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet) which may be caused to you, your computer equipment or to any third party by using the Site, save to the extent that any person suffers death or personal injury as a result of our negligence. We are not responsible for any loss or damage caused by the temporary interruption of the Site due to faults or circumstances beyond our control. You also agree that YouLike and its employees will not be held responsible by you for any loss of business, delays, interruptions, or damages of any kind from the use of the Site and all its features.
The Site may contain links to third party websites and it is possible that third party websites may also link to the Site. Due to a link from the Site to a third party website, we have not undertaken to verify the truth or accuracy of any such material and do not make any representation or warranty with respect to the links or the contents thereof since the content has been created by or for the respective owners of those sites and is not under our control.
You may find links to other websites or resources at YouLike. We cannot supervise or control such links to such sites and resources, and we are not liable for the availability of such external sites or resources. We also cannot be responsible or liable for their content, advertising, products or other materials. You further acknowledge and agree that we shall not be responsible or liable for any damage or loss caused such sites. Please contact the sites in question to resolve disputes.
Part of the Site may contain advertising. We are not responsible for and do not endorse the content of advertisements that are contained on the Site. We are not responsible for any error or inaccuracy in such advertising material.
These Terms contain the entire agreement between you and us regarding the use of the Site.
Any failure on our part to enforce any section of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of our right to later enforce that or any other section of these Terms. Waiver of compliance in any particular instance does not mean that we will do so in the future. In order for any waiver of compliance with these Terms to be binding, we must provide you with written notice of such waiver, provided by our unauthorized representatives.
You agree that, except as otherwise expressly provided in these Terms there will be no third party beneficiaries.
